💪 How to Immediately Get Back On Track Don’t lose precious time getting back on track with your fitness routine. Here’s how you stay consistent no matter what happens… Hey Ann, What's the most effective technique for getting out of a slump, overcoming the feeling of “I’m failing" and getting back on track? It's taking action. Specifically, perform multiple actions that are a step toward solving the problems causing your unhappiness. Example: you want to burn fat. The multiple actions you can take include: Increasing your daily movement with a walk. Eating smaller meals. Reducing your calorie intake. Tracking your macros & calories. Drinking more water. Limiting processed food. Avoiding late-night snacking. Taking a number of small actions is often better than one massive action for 3 reasons: Taking one massive action step may be so intimidating that you never get around to actually doing it. Performing a series of small tasks seems easier to do, so you are more likely to do them. When you set out to perform a series of small tasks, you are taking action and seeing results more frequently, which can be a powerful motivator. Action is the key for getting out of a rut and reinvigorating yourself. Your mood will improve, and you will gain greater energy. Also, instead of just worrying about your problems, you will actually be doing tangible things to solve them. Action is much more effective than ruminating, moping, worrying, or beating yourself up over it. Action Step: Come up with, and implement, several small actions you can take that will move you closer to your fitness goals.
