I was skinny fat (I realized with the BWS program) most of my early life and when I reached 25 years old, I started developing some belly fat even though I was still active. I didn't understand why my body was not responding to my activity. I was training at the gym, swimming, running, eating as much as I could but still couldn’t develop volume or muscles. When I tried to lose belly fat and reduce my food intake, I was losing my “few” muscles as well. Besides, I didn’t know what to do at the gym, trying different exercises and machines, ending up tired, unmotivated and unhappy with my results. I thought it would take years to transform my body and quickly went hopeless because for me I was “too old” to achieve any results with my body. On top of that, I struggled with understanding my nutrition and how it affects my body weight and muscle / fat distribution. Actually, I didn't know how important nutrition is for sculpting a muscular body. I was desperate and was wishing I had a nicer body one day. The BWS program is a science-based program, and it captured my attention the first time I watched Jeremy’s Youtube channel. I immediately felt confident that it would work since I am a scientist. Everything he explained was supported with evidence and facts. No bullshit. I was very enthusiastic about trying the program. When I purchased the program and started reading it, everything was clear, explained step-by-step and straight to the point. I didn’t have to be “creative” in making a series of exercises, or guessing what I had to eat or do at the gym. Most of the other programs I have come across were not detailed the same way, left things up to interpretation or expected me to select my own sequence of exercises, which was overwhelming and complicated for me. Adding to that, nutrition was rarely put to the front in other programs and was never explained clearly or supported with tools. And that’s a key element in Jeremy's program. Everything is explained in the BWS programs: you just need to follow and see the results (and abs) reveal as if they were magic! The program helped me to get control over my nutrition in no time! The nutrition tool provided with the program is very powerful and the explanations on how to use it are very clear. Adding to that, the workouts are very clearly explained, supported with video explanations and techniques on how to structure the workout, progress with weights and reps and overcome plateaus. So I didn’t have to think: just read and execute! I follow the program instructions to the letter as much as I can. The big difference for me (and my relatives who watch me weighing everything I eat :)) was the way to track nutrition. I had a personal dietitian not from BWS for a while before the program, but we didn’t go into the details of macronutrients and how they are the key for balancing a proper diet for the workouts. BWS program nutrition tool (together with MyFitnessPal) is a personal dietitian on my phone. When I started tracking my calories, I understood what food is helping me with my objectives, and what food is slowing me down. I understood better how to optimize my nutrition, and shift my calorie intake to the right balance and distribution. I still eat everything I like, but in different portions. I don’t restrict myself to anything: I eat pizzas, ice cream, chocolate mousses, cakes, you name it … but also healthier stuff to optimize my gains. I just have to record everything I eat and let the tool help me on how to optimize the next meal. I would never imagine that I could build a muscled body while still eating this stuff until I tried it with Jeremy’s program. The program helps me become more confident about my body. Everyone around me notices the difference and compliments me. That’s a nice feeling.
