💪 (Case Study) Battling Overeating and Gym Uncertainty Sorting through all the fitness information is a daunting task. Here’s what Tanner did so he could be confident he was on the right track… Hey Ann, Before Tanner started the BWS program he didn’t know what to do at the gym and had a habit of overeating. Then he enrolled in the Intermediate Shred program… Results: Before: 205 lbs 27.5% BF Now: 205 lbs 17.7% BF (Using DEXA scans for BF) “There is a lot of BS out there. There is an endless supply of “Bro Science”. As a science teacher I am drawn to BWS because it actually has meta-analysie backing the workouts. This helped me trust the program and have confidence that if I show up and do the work I’m going to see the results.” - Tanner. Here’s What Tanner Told Us… The biggest thing for me was what to do at the gym. I didn’t have a lot of experience with lifting weights and you hear all sorts of things. It was nice to just have the workouts planned. They were easy to follow and came with a lot of great advice on how to complete the workout for maximum results. I’ve always been a little bit on the chubby side so my workouts and dietary regimen before BWS were typically geared towards losing fat. I would run and do HIIT exercises frequently and I’d try to eat in a large deficit to maximize my fat loss. Since BWS, I've actually been eating several hundred calories more than I was and I don’t do cardio quite as frequently or for as long of periods. BWS has helped me feel like I belong at the gym and it has helped me with all aspects of my life. Before BWS I couldn’t bench over 200lbs. I currently don’t know what my max is but this morning for my upper workout I did 245lbs for 6 reps for all four sets. Going forward I’d like to lower my BF below 14% and reassess from there. I also would like to be able to bench over 300lbs. Hot Tips From Tanner… Focus on your diet and consistency. Don’t try to get results in a week or two. Try to find something you can stick to for a long time. Don’t get impatient and expect to see results overnight. This journey has been long and I’ve enjoyed it. There were times where I felt like I wasn’t seeing results but in hindsight I can clearly see them. Get comfortable with your diet and with exercising. It shouldn’t feel super hard. It should feel comfortable or else you probably won’t stick to it long term. Congratulations Tanner on your transformation and willingness to help others by sharing your ongoing journey. --- Best regards, Jeremy & The BWS Team PS: Each Built With Science program comes with everything you need to develop the physique you’ve always wanted.
