I’m back from my sojourn in New York for our Pop-up store launch at Rothman’s. One thing that came up a lot as I chatted with stylists and media was the importance of a killer “third piece” for warm weather and summer evenings. Once you’ve got a pant/short and a shirt, what’s that last step that can really pull an outfit together.

Here are three that raised eyebrows in New York – one of which have recently received an Editor’s Choice Award. These versatile players will earn their keep in your wardrobe, elevating outfits all year round.

We drew heavily from these two greats' aesthetics when we designed our version -- the Lagos Safari Shirt. It's an excellent piece, which has the benefit of looking great on top of a linen tropical weight Henley or by itself. Pair it with white denim to really raise the temp this summer.
