EXPLORE EQ3 “The redesigned offices are now a space of imagination and creativity for our team who work here and for the artists and museum stakeholders we welcome here in building our vision. The offices also serve as the green room for our public programs and by extension a space for community gathering. Giving our space new life as a hub that reflects who we are – vibrant, creative, art-focused, and unapologetically queer – supports every facet of our wholly unique work.” – Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art It was a joy to play a role in ushering this space into its new aesthetic era, ensuring its spirit–the same spirit that inspired the museum’s founders Charles Leslie and Fritz Lohman to open their home for an informal but proud display of their queer art collection back in 1969–remains intact. The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art is the only art museum in the world dedicated to LGBTQIA+ artists with a collection of more than 25,000 works spanning three centuries of queer art. Located in a historic building on the corner of Wooster and Canal in Soho, NY, the museum exemplifies the power inherent in nurturing individuality.
