DISCOVER BRIM “We wanted to create an understated cohesive collection, with forms that are soft yet feel sturdy. Each piece has a straight wall with a thick rim that gives the pieces extra robustness and also influences its character. All of the pieces have a soft oval or round form that relates well to its contents.” — Studio Gorm “The soap dish was the starting point, the form coming from a well worn bar of soap. We wanted the dish that was elevated but also drained well. This piece set the precedent for the rest of the collection.” Made from 100% porcelain, Brim features an exaggerated edge as its rim and a matte white finish. Although intended for the bathroom, they are versatile and approachable enough to be at home in the kitchen as well. Studio Gorm consists of partners John Arndt and Wonhee Arndt based in Eugene, Oregon. Both equipped with respective backgrounds in sculpting, their work gravitates towards the creation of simple, sculptural objects that possess both functional and aesthetic durability.
