Effective March 14, there are some important updates to SMART and PREMIUM service. Here’s what you need to know so you can plan accordingly.

Updates to SMART rides within South Florida.

Changes to seat selection.

Starting Thursday, March 14, seats will be automatically assigned for SMART rides within South Florida — this impacts all stations between and including Miami and West Palm Beach.

This change is designed to ensure that as many seats remain available together as possible — especially for trains that are almost fully booked. This update allows more groups to be seated together, without compromising availability for individual travelers.

Seat selection within South Florida is still included on all PREMIUM rides.

If you’re riding between South Florida and Orlando, you will still be able to select your seat when you book in both SMART and PREMIUM.

This will only affect new rides so your previously booked trips are not affected.

Pickup and dropoff options for you.

Updates to scheduled Brightline+ rides.

Starting Thursday, March 14, Uber and Mears rides can no longer be booked on the Brightline website and app.

PREMIUM Guests will receive a $10 Uber voucher automatically applied to their Uber wallet for each one-way ride. This provides the flexibility to control rides, tip drivers, choose vehicles, and more directly through the Uber app.

Brightline+ Uber rides scheduled for a future ride will be honored until April 14, 2024.
