Today, as we observe K9 Veterans Day, all of us at Big Barker are filled with gratitude and respect for the brave men, women, and canines who have served our great nation.

We take immense pride in being a Made in the USA company. In honor of this special day, we're spotlighting some courageous K9's we've had the privilege of working with through the wonderful organization, Paws of Honor.

This outstanding group supports retired military and law enforcement K9's by providing free veterinary care and products.

K9 Roxie 🎖️

In Roxie’s six years working on Capitol Hill as an explosive detection K9, she protected some of the most powerful people in the US by conducting daily searches at the US Capitol, House, and Senate.

K9 Christy’s primary job was vehicle and package searches as well as protective sweeps. She also assisted federal and local agencies in the DC area, with large-scale explosive detection missions.

Gento not only searched for bombs and IED’s as an explosive detection K9, he also worked for the Secret Service in protection of two Presidents, two Vice Presidents, and many dignitaries.

As an Explosive Detection dog, K9 Thor worked for the US Federal Government for six years. He spent most of his career in Afghanistan, Iraq, and even traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
